Some of the marchers were wearing masks. During the procession, they were heard chanting slogans like ‘On this day of independence, Mujib will come to your mind’, ‘Sheikh Hasina will come, Bangladesh will laugh’ etc. in the video.

Although the officer-in-charge of Chawkbazar Police Station, Jahidul Kabir, was called several times on his mobile phone to inquire about this, he did not pick up the call.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner of City Police (South) Shakila Soltana was spoken to regarding this. He said, “A procession was taken out during Iftar. The sound of the call to prayer was being heard at that time. We are collecting and watching the videos. Action will be taken against those involved.”
